Is there a braai?

Yes, absolutely! Each unit at Vogelsang Boerdery comes with its own private braai area, perfect for enjoying a relaxed meal outdoors. Firewood is available on request to help you make the most of your stay.

What makes Vogelsang Boerdery’s accommodation eco-friendly?

Our cottages follow sustainable practices, including solar power, water conservation, and minimal electricity use. We emphasize the 5 R’s—Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repurpose, and Recycle—to minimize our environmental impact.

Is there Wi-Fi or cellphone reception at the cottages?

No, our cottages are an unplugged retreat with no Wi-Fi, television, or network coverage. This is a place to disconnect from technology and reconnect with nature.

What should we bring for our stay?

We recommend bringing sunscreen, a sun hat, comfortable walking shoes, insect repellent, warm clothes for cooler nights, binoculars, and extra drinking water.

Can we bring pets?

Unfortunately, we do not allow pets to ensure the safety of our wildlife and maintain the natural balance of the farm.

Are there any restaurants or stores nearby?

Yes! Karusa Restaurant is on-site for wine and gin tastings, and Oudtshoorn is just a short drive away with various shops and dining options.
